[nog] BGP communities

Hello guys,

I'm considering nogetiating BGP communities with my upstreams.

Each of my uptreams has two or more upstreams. Ideally what I want to do is have a community for each of the uptreams of my isps.

What would be the best configuration scheme. And I don't mean router configuration but choosing communities and mapping them to each ISP.

I'm currently running bird for BGP and I have 12 BGP sessions of which 8 are for international traffic.

Each of my ISPs gives me two separate links, so two BGP sessions.

Should I agree on the same communities between me and the ISP via both links(which I believe to be the correct assumption) or should I configure different communites for each link?


What do you consider BCP?
